I’ve been busy this past week, beside temporarily losing access to the ‘net and losing touch with nearly all of my programming work space. Sleep as been a side concern for me as I rush hither and tither, seeing family, travelling much of the length of the country and designing future Wrenrock creative outlets in framework and contents.
Much of this last year, like the years before in these 7 gone by, I have been hitting the nail on the head to resurrect my entrepeneurial efforts. We all have the ability to dream new ideas. Putting them into practice and making them a success, however, are two steps far too few manage to even try, but more and more people are being called to do. In times of uncertainty and in a recent history of UK austerity, followed by Brexit.
So I Happily tell you, good Reader, that it is not so difficult that one shouldn’t try. Remember, the sting of failure is brief, the medicine of experience lasts a lifetime. Pick up that tutorial, learn a new skill, define a month by giving it to a new work. Build something uniquely you for the whole world to be witness and be in awe of.
It’s all about Changing the Landscape.
Egress, to exit a confined space, to leave.
This is addressed to you, whom ever it reaches, with the power to cast a ballot to weigh in on a big chunky choice. You’re tired, and everything you see, has had a screen pulled over it.
We humans have a tendency to paint our immediate worlds with whatever comes to hand. It seems natural, cause and effect being tangible to us.
Problem is, this is used against us.
Every day the pressures of the world are framed in a false bias, your media and news are made by people who care more for sales than truth.
All the venom and bitterness created that was being aimed at the Conservative’s unjust (and increasing numbers say stolen) leadership, has been recast;
As a blame game on a ladder you won’t climb for snakes directly above us.
The breeding of frustrations in the working to middle classes, by Banking collapses, pension reforms and housing price explosions, have removed from us a sense of power to shape our destiny. We are angry, toxic, and immune to false hope.
Or at least I hope we are immune to false hope.
Because how we vote depends on how informed our ambition in the world is.
Neo-fascist and bigoted politicians would have you afraid for the meagre slice of life you have. Like it was as though it was NOT arranged to be such a thin and unstable slice. Teetering, fearing every threat and seeking security. Everything that was promised to you by example of youth is stripped bare for the name of austerity, a rather outdated and destructive policy, even on the staunch and stalwart British peoples.
Politicians spin their lies and weave the screen. All of a sudden it’s not about why they haven’t brought enough food to the table. It’s about the poor kids next door eating into ‘our’ food. Generosity replaced with territorial fear mongering.
I ask you, when has life in our memory been so casually trodden on by the banking sector, by big business. When have the Conservatives been SO flagrant in ignoring the demands of the public. Petitions and demands over and over, thrown out for technicalities.
The biggest threat to Tory-misrule, as it happens, is the E.U. I remind you now that we helped shape the E.U as the strongest country in Europe to survive Fascist warfare from World War 2. We were called on to draft the European Convention on Human rights, enshrined in the Geneva convention. That same Bill of Rights has stopped an ever increasing incursion of Tory-meddling and spying on the normal folk of Britain. Extradition to other countries with less developed law has also been stopped by the E.U for good people who deserve Fair Trials.
We have done so well, so far. We have kept enough of the U.K from falling into poor decisions. We were right not to fall for the Euro, but to turn back from the only people who can intervene legally if our country falls to corruption beyond redemption? is a False solution.
To fix the world, we must begin at home,
Burning bridges is a sure way to drown when the floods come.
Hello!, and welcome to the first (‘first’) update to my monthly blog, featuring the latest in views and events Wren Rock has a hand in, a view on or simply a joke to share about. This may convert up to a Vlog of sorts but honestly I don’t have that much time for make-up. A note to all readers out there, feel free to leave comments! the blogoshpere has been withering thanks to the onslaught of less articulate forms for writing, so do get in contact, challenge my views, asking questions and please do respect the views expressed by all as we are all seeking the best version of truth to be had.
It was my birthday, (AW!) yes this semi-aged masculinised humanoid has weathered 32 orbits of the nearest star WITHOUT BURTSING INTO FLAME, often. So? in the light of long-held (and rarely shared) ambitions, passions and such I created Wren Rock with a little help from co-creators who were in the mood to help. Having dabbled in spot-checking other peoples audio and music efforts, I couldn’t help but realise I took great joy and personal pride in helping other peoples work become the best they could possibly be. While I have had many years of closetted audio creation and production, and devised my own method of noise removal for audio recordings and signals, it felt better for now to help those struggling with the final stages of polishing their masterpieces with aplomb. So Wren Rock is effectively a birthday gift, a project and a business all for my own development and enjoyment, and I look forward to it!
Dub Pistols have definitely been a presence underlining a lot of the club/gig nights across the UK whenever they tour. A dream combination of Reggae, Ska, Funk and Drum and Bass. Think if the Specials, The Prodigy and Faithless got in to a Jam. I count them as being one of the best acts to see for sheer presence and energy without the trappings (yet) of being mass appeal. Underground without being obscure, fun without being pop. Go see A.S.A.P I reckon.
Local to my locale on the 8th of this month coming, definitely need to go see! Creators of some of my favourite remixes, tracks and albums, these guys definitely are on my bucket list. N.B I don’t actually have a bucket list because I see them like new year resolutions, I’d rather just kill the boundaries and push on.
One Big Call.
BE BRAVE, I love you all to bits and I really hope whatever you do, you remember no criticism has value unless it helps you hone your skills. Share your work and remember success is in your satisfaction, not in public acclaim. If you want me to hear your work, Mail me at Queries@WrenRock.Org.
